Normal is Overrated
What is the Purpose of the Normal is Overrated Event?
The purpose of this event is to provide teenagers with a space for open, well-informed conversations on the vast array of mental and behavioral health struggles faced by students globally, and right here in Ft. Myers.
The Event
Normal is Overrated is an annual communuity event intended to reduce stigma and create awareness surrounding mental and behavioral health challenges faced by students both locally and globally. Each year our event showcases 3-5 student speakers who will share their experiences with mental illness. Audience members also have the opportunity to connect with our vendors from a number of national and local mental health resources, as well as engage with our expert Q&A panel. Our event is made possible through the generous support of our title sponsor, Kids Minds Matter as well as our other donors.
